Kerosene heating oil. The product has many names: Heating Oil, Domestic Heating Oil, RBO and 28 Second to name a few. This fuel its used in flued domestic heating applications. This is not Premium Paraffin or Gas Oil (red diesel).

If you opt for the 200l option – The goods arrive on a pallet dropped on drive/curb side. If you order before 11am the goods should leave us the same day. We are aware that this is isn’t the cheapest way of getting fuel out to customers, but when you are in a pinch and out of options we still have this service.
This service doesn’t include pouring into your tank or taking the empty cans back.

Heating Oil is another name for Kerosene. Gas Oil and Paraffin can also be used in its stead, but only if the boiler/cooker is designed for it.
Kerosene powers 96% of heating boilers and cookers because manufacturers design most of their equipment for this fuel. It’s the cheapest of the three fuels we offer, followed by Gas Oil, with Paraffin being the most expensive. You might also hear kerosene called 28‑second, RBO, Heating Fuel, Heating Oil, Kero, or Burning Oil — but despite the different names, they all refer to the same product.
There has been a significant increase in vaporising boiler field problems during the past couple of years and many are wondering if the kerosene quality has changed slightly due to the introduction of 1000wppm sulphur. Question: Can I put Kerosene in my Paraffin heater?
Answer: No, it will smoke and emit harmful gases. If used in a enclosed area it can be fatal.
Question: Are Paraffin and Kerosene the same?
Answer: No – The class of the product is important. C2 is Kerosene C1 is Paraffin. C2 Kerosene is used in domestic heating oil systems with a boiler and flue. Paraffin is clean burn and used in stand alone heaters and lamps.
Question: Can I buy heating oil in small volumes?

Question: How long will 20l of Kerosene last?
Answer: On average 2/3 days depending on the boiler. If you have run out of Kerosene, 20 litre may not be enough to kick start you boiler. We would advise 100 litres will get you up and running and last you at lest a 2/3 days.
Question: How long will Heating oil last in the tank?
Answer: Years. We have customers who have been slowly using he same tank of Heating Oil delivery for 10 or more years.

Answer: Here at Rye Oil Ltd we ship same day if ordered before midday – We use a next day service that has a next day delivery service success rate of 95%. It should be noted that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Question: What do we do if we have run out of fuel?Â
Answer: Don’t panic, make contact with us or just order online on our shop. If you don’t have a pressure jet boiler, you may need to bleed the fuel line before the boiler will start up.
