Straight 140 grade, non active sulpur-phosphorus Gear Oil.  Suitable for all vintage gearboxes containing phosphorus- bronze bearings and bushes. This gear oil can be used in tractors, classic cars, classic bikes and anything that is pre-1690 and needs a very thick gear oil.

Description

Vintage Gear Oil 140 is apart of a range of mineral oil based lubricants, formulated with customised extreme pressure additives that wont attacked yellow metals. These oils have good natural film strength, anti-foam performance and long term stability. Applications include: manual gearboxes (e.g. Eaton/Fuller, Volvo), axles, worm gear drives (e.g. GKN), oil lubricated bearings, reduction gears/hubs, chains, steering boxes, king pins, etc. Additionally they are safe for use in transmissions that contain phosphor-bronze components. This makes them ideal for classic and vintage cars, motorcycles, tractors, traction engines and commercial vehicles. API GL1

Rye Oil Ltd’s Vintage Gear Oil 140 is used by SEVAC (South East Vintage Agricultural Club), NVTA (National Vintage Tractor Association), 100’s of tractor runs across the UK. It is also used in the National Ploughing Match which takes place in a different place in the UK every year. Plenty of the tractors at the Malvern Tractor Show also use Rye Oil’s Vintage Range.
