Bearing Oil 220

A straight bearing oil formulated from a select blend of solvent refined mineral base oils. Perfect for lubricating the bearings and motions or as a general-purpose lubricant under conditions where the ambient temperature is higher to reduce the amount of total lubricant loss. Straight bearing oils are universal and can be used in place of a compounded bearing oils.

Applications:

Bearing Oil 220 used by locomotives operating in the UK’s cool climate – for very hot summer running would would advise Bearing Oil 460.

Provides lubrication to the bearings, motions and used as a general-purpose lubricant with total loss systems. It should also be noted that we do make a Bearing Oil 460 too – This is found here: Bearing Oil 460

They can be used for bearings, gears, slides, and general railway applications as well as for use in older types of railway rolling stock axle boxes with plain bearings. Additionally they are recommended for their ability to flow with worsted wool fibre or cotton wick lubricators often found on traction engines and railway rolling stock.
