This oil is designed to stabilise oil pressure at high operating temperatures and is suitable for use in all vintage tractors and most vintage/classic cars and trucks from across a range of classic periods.

Vintage Engine Oil 40 is a traditional, monograde, non-detergent motor oil for naturally aspirated 4 stroke petrol and diesel engines, specifically for classic and vintage cars or tractors. This oil is designed as a summer and also winter engine oil. This midrange SAE will cover summer and winter running as long as air temperatures aren’t lower then -10c or higher then 35c. When starting. It is suitable for use in all vintage tractors and vintage/classic cars and trucks from across a range of classic periods. Vintage Engine Oil 40 has been backward engineered to meet the specification API: SB/CB. This covered the requirements for all classic and vintage machines.

Rye Oil Ltd’s Vintage 40 is used by SEVAC (South East Vintage Agricultural Club), NVTA (National Vintage Tractor Association), 100’s of tractor runs across the UK. It is also used in the National Ploughing Match which takes place in a different place in the UK every year. Plenty of the tractors at the Malvern Tractor Show also also use Rye Oil’s Vintage range.
Rye Oil’s Vintage range is a highly refined mineral oil with multi-functional additives. Not Miscible in water. Grades available are Vintage Engine Oil 50, 40 and 30. This listing in for Vintage Engine Oil 30.
This oil contains no detergents, this critical is preserving any yellow metals and old seals that the oil will come in contact with.
