Bird Brand Ecosote Light Brown 20l is an eco-friendly wood preserver when compared to Creocote and Creosote for exterior timbers, whilst giving an attractive matt finish, Ecosote®
Contains an active ingredient to preserve and protect the timber from fungal attack, green algae growth and decay. A registered HSE approved wood preserver and surface biocide.
Removes green algae without the need for a pre-treatment/fungicidal wash.
Penetrates timber just like a solvent-based wood preservative.
Non-hazardous and pleasant disinfectant odour.
Fade resistant when compared to other Creocote products. Ideal for rough sawn timbers where it can soak into the grain.
Used on sheds, fences and timber products where Creosote like finish and more importantly a preservative is required.
Improved formulation to have more body and total stability in long term storage.
Is spray/dipped or brush applied.
Coverage: 4m2 per litre.
We also stock Creocote Light Brown, Dark Brown and Black as well as The Original Coal Tar Creosote.
The product is nonhazardous, thus transport for this product is much quicker then the Creocote’s and Creosote.
Direction of use:
Shake well before use, ensure the wood is dry and clean without existing paints/varnish. Brush & spray applications. If covered with excess green algae first use a fungicidal wash. Apply 2-3 even coats paying particular attention to the end grain. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines avoiding mist and damage to surrounding property. Product will dry within 24 hours. Clean brushes and spills with soapy water.

Product is approved under the control of pesticides regulations 1986 – HSE No. 10432 as a liquid ready to use wood preservative. Contains DIDECYLDMETHYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE 0.598% W/W. Only use as described. Labelling according to regulations (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP)
DO NOT CONTAMINATE FOODSTUFFS, EATING UTENSILS OR FOODS CONTACT SURFACES.
UNPROTECED PERSONS AND ANIMALS SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM TREATED AREAS FOR 48 HOURS OR UNTIL DRY.
