Fast Kerosene 20 Litre is a marked, odourless, Class 1 domestic heating oil that meets British standard BS 2869 Class C1. Additionally, this product is better for the environment than standard kerosene or paraffin. Specifically, it is significantly less hazardous to aquatic life.
Furthermore, Rye Oil Ltd’s Fast Kerosene has a higher calorific value than other domestic heating oils (kerosenes/paraffins), rated at 43.55 ± 0.02 MJ/kg. As a result, you can safely use this product in place of standard kerosene for domestic heating or paraffin for indoor stoves without causing any negative effects on your burner or health.
For ease of handling, Rye Oil Ltd dispatches this product in 20-litre cans because they are deemed easily liftable.
By law, all domestic heating oil sold in the UK must be marked, which you can recognize by its signature tan/yellow color. To assist with rapid delivery, any orders placed before midday are dispatched on the same day to ensure a timely arrival.
Please note, however, that the product label may vary, since transport rules for fuel change almost every year. Most importantly, no toxic fumes are released when this product is burned.

I contacted Rye Oil for advice about what grade of paraffin would be best for my Zibro RS-30 heater used in my home, after experiencing very strong odour problems using paraffin recommended by Amazon, as premium paraffin and suitable for my heater. Graham from Rye oil was extremely helpful and informed me that the product I had bought was BS2869 class 2 and this was not premium paraffin and only suitable for industrial use and or a home heating system which had a flue. He recommended odourless fast kerosene which is BS2869 class 1, as being the most suitable for my needs. I ordered 20 L just after 8:00 am on a Thursday and it was with me at 2:08 pm the next day, ( I live in South Wales ).
I was delighted that on using this in my heater was very considerably reduced. There is still a faint smell on start up, virtually no smell when at full temperature and a bit more of a smell when the heater is turned off. I think the high heat that the Zibro outputs, causes volatilisation of some hydrocarbons when unburnt paraffin comes into contact with warm/hot metal. With the class 2 paraffin the smell was obnoxious and the heater had to be removed as quickly as possible from the room we were in.
I am of the opinion that the service I have received from Rye Oil could not be bettered by Rolls Royce and will be placing my future purchases from them direct.

The best fuel by far for zibro heaters and the like. very slight odour on startup and shutdown. been using this fuel for the last 2 winters in a closed room with minimal ventilation and all is great. I have a carbon monoxide and co2 monitor and it does not show any changes to the air quality.
