Creocote Black 20 litre – In 2003 the general public could no longer buy Traditional Creosote. Due to continued demand, Rye Oil Ltd stepped up and developed a Creosote Substitute. This was a preparation comprising of petroleum distillates and synthetically manufactured substitutes.
- This excellent oil based timber treatment and stain is for outside use.
- Creocote available in Light Brown, Dark Brown and Black

Rye Oil Ltd removed Creosote from sale as of the 1st February 2009. However Rye Oi Ltd has introduced an alternative non-biocidal product Creocote Oil Based Timber Treatment.
The result is a highly effective oil‑based wood treatment. As a result, it provides excellent surface water repellence and restricts weather damage. In addition, the product improves grain definition and exhibits the characteristic odour familiar to traditional Creosote users.
Furthermore, Creocote can be applied exactly like its predecessors, and it can be used by the general public as well as trade persons. Finally, you can use Rye Oil’s White Spirit to clean any brushes used.
