Rye’s original Fire Engine

Ryes Original Fire Engine. Some days we deal with decking questions. Some days it’s filling heating oil tanks. Today however we had a more unique situation. Pictured here is the original Rye Fire Engine, new to Rye in 1960. It is being reconditioned by one of our customers who is looking to have it ready for the Fire Station open day on the 10th of September. We provided some expert advice on which oils would be appropriate, so we feel like we can be a part of local history.
